We have been using what we call “The 5 Minute Miracle” as we’ve been working with clients to help them make progress on their goals.

The idea is that you need deadlines. You also need a short amount of time to stretch yourself to see how much you can get done in a short period of time.

What we do is we gather the team together and have them clarify what the goal is that they’re working towards — their biggest goal. We ask them to write down what they think they can potentially get done in 5 minutes to make progress or create momentum towards their goal (maybe write down 3 things). These are things they could get done in a 5 minute span towards the goal. They write the goal out and then write the items below it of what they think they can do in that 5 minutes.

Then, we set a timer, and they get to work to see what they can do in 5 minutes to complete their list!

We’ve just been doing this for a couple of weeks. We had a team the other day that between all of the people on the team they were able to accomplish 13 things in 5 minutes. That’s 13 baby steps towards their major goal in 5 minutes. They literally got more done in five minutes than they had gotten done in the last week towards this big goal for their company..

It’s interesting how much you can get done towards the progress of reaching your goal simply by:

  • compressing time;
  • being focused;
  • forcing yourself to think in small enough increments; and
  • breaking things down.

So that’s why we call this “The 5 Minute Miracle.” It’s  amazing what it will do for you.

If you’re interested in getting the worksheet or talking to us and having us take you or your company through this, just let us know. We’d be glad to do that. You can set up a time for us to work with you either virtually or in person. Glad we could pass on this little thought today of how you move forward in achieving your goals in just 5 minutes.

Make it a great day!

Here’s one question for you today as a leader, business owner, entrepreneur or CEO — what are you doing with your time right now that is going to get you the best result for your future? Really think, analyze and ask yourself this question:

Is what I am doing right now going to get me the result that I want a year from now, two years from now, three years from now?

The reason for this question is because we are constantly talking to people about time. Time is the greatest asset in your company and in your personal life.

For all of us, the most precious thing we have is our time.

I’d like you to start thinking about your time as a multiplier; think of it as an investment. If you can do this and ask yourself the daily question about your time, then the next step is to get rid of the things in your daily schedule that you don’t need to do (or what we like to call the “Do Not Do List”). It’s not the “to do” list but it’s the “do not do” list — the things you don’t need to be or shouldn’t be doing. We want you to remove all those things out of your day-to-day schedule. We can teach you how to get these things out of your life, as well as show you how to teach others to do the same. Because by doing this, and consciously asking everyday:  Is what I’m doing with my time right now going to get me the result I want a year from now, two years, etc.? — over time you’re going to narrow down and realize that there are probably only two, three or four things that you do really well that are going to have 80% of the impact on getting the results you want for your best future.

We really challenge you to say – okay, is what I’m doing right now really going to get me the results that I want or is this something I can put aside, decide it doesn’t need to be done, or is it something that can be done by somebody else (either at a later date or maybe outsourced). Because if you use your time as your greatest investment tool and leverage the results, this is one of the greatest predictors of where you’re going to be a year to three years from now. We all have the same amount of time. We all have the same ability to ask this question. Make this choice and ask yourself:  Is what I’m doing right now the thing that needs to be done so that a year from now I can have the results that I want to have from my business or my personal life?

You know time is the greatest investment tool that you have. If you want to talk more about this or if you want to give us your answer to the question of what you’re doing with your time, please let us know. We’d love to start a conversation around time and how it’s tied to results for you personally and in your business a year to three years from now.

Make it a great day.

There are five questions you want to ask before you do anything in your business, and here’s why it’s so important to you. If you were to go into your business today and ask these five questions, by the end of the day your business would be transformed! Not only transformed in and of itself, but transformed in the way that it produces a result for you both financially and time wise.

So today we’re going to talk about these five questions.

First of all, think about one task that happens in your business every day that’s repetitive. This is a task that you are doing or perhaps a bunch of people in your company are doing every day. Then ask yourself these questions:

  1. Can this task be eliminated?

  2. Can this task be delegated to somebody else?

  3. Can this task be automated?

  4. Can this task be outsourced?

  5. Can this task simply be done in a more efficient way?

By asking these questions and looking at every task that you, your team or your employees are doing, you will be transforming your company.

We do this with businesses all the time and are amazed at what we find in efficiencies, gains, time saving and profit making by just simply going through every little task and repurposing it and putting it through this process — we call the time filter.

This is just a little tip we’d love you to try today. Let us know how it works. If you’d like to learn more about it you can reach us email or by scheduling  a free consultation.

The Time Solution is a coaching process that we use with our clients. It is basically used to address the one thing that 90% of businesses have never accounted for in their business and that is:

How, why and where are they using their time

By having an actual audit or accounting system of time, you can make sure everybody in the business is aware that time is actually of more value than the money or the capital that’s being invested in the business.

We’ve created this process to teach and coach people how to capitalize on their time. In our process, we show that by saving 15 minutes a day, an average company over the next couple of years, can reinvest that time into profit making time and actually turn that into a million dollars for the business owner. It’s a transformational process, and it’s a process that only takes 90 days to do. It makes you look at time like you look at your checkbook — like you look at your financial statement — like you look at all the other investments you make. It also teaches, trains and helps everyone on your team to look at time and evaluate it in the way that it should be valued. If we use our time wisely, and we use it better and more effectively than our competitors, then we have an unfair advantage over everyone else in our industry.

Yet time is the one thing that nobody accounts for. Everybody’s always talking about saving money in their business, company or corporation, but nobody ever sits down and talks about how they can save time. Time actually equals, if repurposed, into the most profitable activity you can do. So sit down and have this conversation. Look at the process. Ask the difficult questions and actually start to get a phenomenal 10x return on your time.

If you’re interested in an introduction to The Time Solution, you can have a 60 minute free consultation with us at Confidence Coach to learn more.

What is the One Thing today that will improve your confidence? We’re going to talk about confidence again and focus on one thing or one habit perhaps. What would be a confidence habit that you could create that would serve you the rest of your life to improve, increase and protect your confidence? For me it’s sleeping. It’s exercise. It’s reading good material. It’s coaching. It’s being in front of people live or virtually and coaching them, encouraging them, giving them confidence, and transforming their experience.

But what does that look like for you and what is that one habit. Now we talked a couple of weeks ago about what gives you confidence; but what’s the one thing? It’s like a rocket booster for your confidence that you could put into your life everyday. You can invest the time — maybe it’s five minutes, maybe it’s 15 minutes, maybe it’s longer than that.

But what’s the return on investment if we invested in that One Thing that gives you confidence? I’d love to hear from you what that One Thing is and how you’re applying it.

What the Habit is, what it does for you, and how you’ve used it in the past. Think about times when you’ve really had a lot of confidence and you’ve been able to do some amazing things.

What was the thing that triggered that…

So we’re looking for for that One Thing, that one habit, that one trigger and then, we’re looking to build that into our life every day.

Here’s the lie that so many people believe: You can manage time.

Nope, sorry — you can’t. None of us can. We can only manage ourselves. You can’t stop time, can you? You can only be self-disciplined. We can’t rewind time. Time continues on month by month, year by year; but we are given the ability to make choices about it every single second.

So what’s your time plan? Are you leveraging your time — or is your time leveraging you? If you’d like to talk about our popular time solution, reach out. We’d love to tell you about it.

Science, research, history, and plenty of personal experience all point to the fact that each of us have a peak ‘thinking’ time during our day. We have a time when our mind is working most efficiently, we get the most done, and we’re most productive.

Think about your own day and the times when you’ve had breakthroughs for your business: the times when you’re thinking the most clearly. When is that usually? Is it early in the morning? After lunch? Or maybe after you’ve taken a long walk in the afternoon? When is your energy the best for building your business?

Now, have you ever thought about putting your most important tasks or goals into that slot of time every single day? This is a simple way to leverage your best thinking to get the greatest results for your business. Use it, and create an unfair advantage against your competition.

If you’re not sure when your prime time is, set up a free coaching session with us — we’ll help you figure it out.

time management

Today I’d like to talk to you about time. Yes, we’ve talked about it before, and we will continue to do so, because time is by far the greatest asset in your business. Today, I want to help you find further clarity for how you think about time and it’s impact on your business, your personal life, and your future. There are four zones of time in your life. What I want to propose to you is to look at your life and categorize them; then, with that newfound clarity, see how much time you’re spending in each one.

Zone 1: Fluff. This is all the time you spend doing things that aren’t helpful: worrying, watching the news, social media, idle chatter, distracting other people — fluff. Things that add no value to your transformation or your future.

Zone 2: Low Value. This is busywork. Errands, shopping, repetitive tasks you do that are necessary, but have small value and low return.

Zone 3: High Value. These are activities that actually make you money. Sales, revenue, high dollar investments.

Zone 4: The Lifetime Value. This time has the greatest value from now until the end of your life. These are things like building relationships, learning new things, developing new services or products, personal spiritual development, physical health — the most valuable use of your time is Zone 4.

My coaching challenge to you today is to get out your calendar from yesterday, or from all of last week or month, maybe — and take an inventory for how much time you spend in each zone. Are you really spending your working time in 3 and 4? Or is it more 1 and 2?

If you’d like a better result out of your time, if you want to spend more time in Zone 3 and 4, reach out today — and we can show you how. It’s amazing the transformation this can make.
