It’s hard to believe, but in a little over 90 days we will be at the end of 2020. This has been quite a year for all of us. Here are a few questions that I’d like you to ask yourself in order to finish this next 90 days strong.

  1. What have you learned during this difficult time that you want to keep in your thinking around your business for the next 90 days?
  2. What have you learned during this difficult time that you want to eliminate from your business in the future?
  3. What are you wanting to add to your business in the next 90 days?
  4. What do you want your customer to experience in the next 90 days?
  5. What do you want your employees to experience and the next 90 days?

If you’d like help in evaluating what you are going to be doing, reach out to us and schedule a free consultation. At Confidence Coach we are here to offer business owners a place to connect and build their confidence; which leads to their better future in the days and years ahead.

Is it your CPA?

Is it one of your vendors?

Is it one of your customers?

Is it your employee who has your 100% interest at heart?

Who can you trust?

That’s me.

Many people just like you, many business owners just like you, many leaders in business, many CEOs, many dyslexic business owners and entrepreneurs come to us and trust us.

Check out the testimonies on our website to see what they are saying.

Freedom is a simple exchange away.

Do you know what I mean by that?

Freedom is a common theme that I hear as a business coach.

The reason why most people start a business is to have freedom of time and money.

But, you have to make the choice or at least be aware are you getting freedom from something or are you getting freedom to something — and where are you in that exchange.

Most entrepreneurs and business owners are in the process of freedom from something.

As we coach business owners through this process, we have them exchange the idea of freedom from something that they’ve come from before in their business to freedom to something that they want to create — maybe it’s an experience and it’s what their business will provide them with.

We work on the mindset of freedom from whatever that is to freedom in the future for what you want in your life.

Freedom is a simple exchange away.

If you’re ready for more freedom. Reach out. Let’s talk.

Are you in the habit of putting off things until “someday”? With all that has gone on the last few months, most of us realize just how precious life is and maybe there are certain things that we shouldn’t put off until someday.

Do you know why I am saying this?

Because “someday” never comes. We only have today and what we make of it. Yes, we can plan and we can schedule things out, but as most of us have seen, some things are out of our hands when it comes to how we operate our business or make choices for our families.

So, the important thing is to make the very best of today. If there is something that you can do today to build your business to the next level or help someone out, do it now. There’s no guarantee that you have tomorrow to do it.

I’ve given this illustration before of how fast a life goes by. Let me give it to you again.

I want you to do an exercise for me using a tape measure.

Take the tape measure, set it on the floor, and mark that very first notch as the day you were born.

The next few dashes – mark graduation, marriage, birth of kids, etc.

Also put a mark down for the day you started your business.

Then the inevitable question becomes this:  How long is that tape measure?

How long do you think you’re going to live?

Have you thought about what’s outside of that tape measure — what is your legacy going to be?

Or have you forgotten why you’re doing this business? Did you start it so that you and your family would have the freedom to do the things that were important to you?

Maybe you’re just drifting, inch by inch, year by year along your life and in your business. Or you feel like Covid has changed your trajectory.

Let’s get back on the path; back on the horse so to speak.

If you’re looking for the mark on the tape measure that says “Someday,” it’s not there.

This isn’t a dress rehearsal. Your life is represented in this tape measure. It has a beginning, it has a messy middle, and it has an end.

Are you ready to face the truth?

Someday NEVER comes!

Reach out and schedule a free coaching session with us today if you’d like help getting back on track to start doing things now, instead of tomorrow. Each day is a gift to be thankful for. Don’t waste it.

A while ago Angela Perkins of Xenium HR asked me if I would share my “Seven Strategies for Difficult Times” in a webinar which I recently did. Brandon Laws did an excellent job moderating and it was really a fun time. I hope the information shared in the webinar will benefit you so I’m giving you the link here so that you can listen at your leisure. These seven strategies can help you maneuver through these difficult times we have been facing over the past few months. Here are the seven areas I spoke on:

  1. Take your eyes off yourself
  2. Focus on your relationships
  3. Focus on creating value
  4. Focus on your opportunities
  5. Focus on your progress today
  6. Focus on who you can be and how you respond
  7. Focus on what’s available and be grateful

At Confidence Coach we are here to offer business owners a place to reconnect and rebuild their confidence; which leads to their better future in the days and years ahead. Reach out today and schedule a free call if you’d like to talk. We are here to help and encourage you.

People ask me all the time about being a coach.

What’s it like?

When did I start doing this?

What prepared me for coaching?

Who do I serve?

Well, being a coach really is about leadership.

Now that I’m 60, I’ve realized the great value, and the wisdom and the insight of living 60 years.

— All the experiences I’ve had

–All the things I’ve learned

–All of the books I’ve read

–All of the people I’ve met

–All the conversations I’ve had

And I realize now the power of all these things as I work with people.

Oftentimes, the remark I get from people is “You’re like the father; I never had this before.”

So it’s about trust. It’s about transparency. It’s about listening and learning. It’s about asking the question that brings wisdom to the situation.

It’s about 60 years of journeying and seeking and stretching to get better, to learn more, to be wiser, to be about what’s best for the other person and their life.

Above all, it’s about believing in them that their best future is ahead.

I’m a father and that is a great role.

If you need help, someone to hold you accountable or to ask you those tough questions, that’s what we do at Confidence Coach. Reach out and schedule a free consultation today.

What are you doing now that seems difficult in your business; but yet, you know that by doing the difficult, it will make the future of your business easier or better?

Difficult now means your business will be easier one year, two years or three years from now.

Have you had to make difficult decisions regarding your business or your employees? Have you had to create a brand new product or idea? Have you totally pivoted your business in some way?

Have you really thought about “why” you’ve been willing to do these difficult things now?

I know that one of those reasons “why” is because you want a better future. You are willing to change, be flexible, be creative so that things will be better a year or two years down the road.

You are an entrepreneur, a leader, an innovator, and we believe in you. Keep up the hard work. It’s all worth it.

At Confidence Coach we offer business owners a place to reconnect and rebuild their confidence; which leads to their better future in the days and years ahead. Reach out today and schedule a free call if you’d like to talk. We are here to help and encourage you.

Last week’s blog was about making choices and how your perspective of what you think about affects you and your business. During this season I know that a lot of us have been either doing things differently, learning new things and/or have had to pivot to keep our businesses going.

These were a couple of questions that I asked you last week.

  • What did you learn during this season that you want to keep doing in your business?
  • What did you learn that you are going to omit or get rid of?

Make two lists and submit them to us. We’d love to hear what you are going to keep and do more of and what you are going to get rid of.

Reach out today and schedule a free call if you’d like to talk. We are here to encourage and help you build a better future.

The Circle of Encouragement is something I have written about in previous blogs, but I wanted to share a special one that you can do right now for your Mom for Mother’s Day. We actually did this with my 87 year old mother last weekend with my siblings.

Since we are all being encouraged to stay home and use social distancing, many of us have not been able to visit those older family members whom we love the most. If you are not able to be with your mom (or even if you are) this is something you can do with her using the convenience of modern technology and she will be blessed by it.

My three siblings, my wife and myself all got on a Zoom call with my Mom last Saturday night. We went around one by one (starting with the oldest to youngest) and shared words of encouragement and gratefulness for all the things Mom has done for us over the years and how much she is loved. She was truly overcome with emotion because many of us said things that we had thought over the years but the words had never been said.

May you have a wonderful Mother’s Day. Share the love!
