Today I’d like to give you three questions that I have been asking myself since the first of the year. I’ve used these questions to help me get moving forward, get unstuck, and also give me internal motivation to tackle the day, and in light of all the difficulties and challenges in the world today and everything that’s going on out there. I hope they will do the same for you.

I have found this exercise to be really helpful. My coach Dan Sullivan actually sent this out to me. So, I thought I’d do the favor and pass them on to you as well. It is my hope that it will also help you to move forward, make progress and become unstuck.

Challenge Questions

The three questions to ask yourself every morning are:

  1. What am I afraid of today?
  2. What opportunities do I have today to take advantage of?
  3. What God-given ability can I build on today?

If you ask yourself these questions every day, you’re not going to have the same answers because every day has different things you’re afraid of!!

Every day has different opportunities, and every day has things that can help you build your ability, your confidence, and your courage to move forward.

I think what you will find is that it brings you into the activity part of the day with clarity, confidence, and courage. Thus, helping to propel you forward.

This is a 30 day challenge I’m throwing out to everybody.

If you’re willing to do this, drop us an email and let us know how it’s impacting and/or helping you, what you’re getting out of it and some of the reflection you’ve had.

I just love this and I encourage you to make this part of your morning routine too. Make it the first thing you do in the morning to ask yourself these three questions.

A good friend of mine, Cliff Ravenscraft is a coach in Kentucky. I recently heard him talk on the topic of “Who and I, and why am I here?”

This is a question that really goes back to the basis of doing and working with a sense of purpose, a sense of courage and confidence, a sense of belief that brings breakthroughs, transformations and success in your personal and your business life.

But these are questions that in the business world we don’t really ever see go that deep.

And so today I would like to challenge you to take a minute and turn everything off and answer the two questions:

Who am I?

Why am I here?

After you’ve done this, I also challenge you to do as Cliff suggests — keep asking yourself that question for the next seven days (write it down) without looking back at the previous day’s answer and see what your answer is on the seventh day.

Who am I, and why am I here?

If we can get an answer to these questions, then the future becomes much brighter and clearer.

The barriers or obstacles to the future that you have in your mind become smaller and easier to eliminate.

The opportunities of knowing who you are and why you’re here are like a filter and this enables you to match who you are and why you’re here to the business and life that you want to lead.

Last, but not least, maybe the most important thing is to live into this as you work in your life. Live out who you are in truth, and know why you’re here in your work and have your mission become your vision in your personal and business life.

I challenge you to ask yourself these questions.

I also challenge you if you want to have a conversation about this because maybe you feel awkward to do this on your own, feel free to reach out to me. I would be glad to spend 20 minutes with you and have this conversation and help you dig in and discover the answer to these two questions.

The answers to these questions can be quite profound. In our busy Western world we don’t ever take the time to really answer and pursue or find out what this is for us.

During this pandemic season many things have changed and/or shifted in our lives, including some of our goals. Maybe it just hasn’t been possible to pursue them or they are now obsolete.

Just because your goals may have changed, the vision for your life doesn’t have to.

I want you to review each of your goals but instead of asking yourself “Can I still achieve this?”, reconnect with your why. Review your top three reasons why you chose that goal and ask:

  • What am I really trying to accomplish here?
  • What’s my motivation?

It’s absolutely true that some of our goals may not survive, but the vision for your life will. Go back and get in touch with your Why. When you do this, you will find new ways to achieve your vision and the way forward will reveal itself!

When you think you have lost your Way, go back and deeply connect with your Big Why!!!

We have been working with business owners to help them create a clear written vision for their future which can help them discern between opportunities and distractions. Vision is an act of seeing what the future could be, then articulating that potential in an inspiring, clear, practical and attractive way. As a leader, you can create a compelling vision and engage others around it. If you’d like help doing this for yourself and your business, reach out today and schedule a free call. We’d love to help you reconnect with your why and create a clear vision for the future.

When times get tough, everyone has to make a fundamental decision: to complain or to be grateful. What do you choose?

In an environment where negative sentiment is rampant, the consequences of this decision are much greater. Complaining only attracts negative thoughts and people.

Gratitude, on the other hand, creates the opportunity for the best thinking, actions, and results to emerge. Focus on everything you’re grateful for, communicate this, and open yourself each day to the best possible consequences.

What are 3 things you are grateful for today? Start with the small things and then you will build on your gratitude muscle.

At Confidence Coach we offer business owners a place to reconnect and rebuild their confidence; which leads to their better future in the days and years ahead. Reach out today and schedule a free call if you’d like to talk. Let us help you make progress.

There are several questions that are really important for you to consider in order to gain clarity and confidence in your life and business (whether you’re a business owner, CEO or entrepreneur).

The first question is:  What do you stand for?

Once you’ve figured this out, then you need to ask yourself the following questions as well:

–What do you believe?

–What are your priorities for your life and your business?

–How do you make decisions?

–How do you connect with your customers and your employees?

–Are those connection points getting you the results, time, and money that you want?

If you’ve been in business for very long, you have probably realized that not everyone is going to love you or what you do with your business. But that’s okay!  Because your product or service isn’t for the whole world — it’s for those people who will get the greatest value from it.

When you can answer all the above questions and feel confident about your answers — there is a certain peace and clarity that comes from it. This comes from knowing what you’re doing, what you’re about, who you are and what you stand for.

If you want help answering those questions, reach out and schedule a free consultation. This type of training and thinking is what we do best. Are you ready to go to the next level?

At Confidence Coach we are all about helping you create clarity and confidence in your life. When you take a break today, go to lunch or before you go to bed tonight — ask yourself these three simple questions.

  1. What is it you DON’T want in your life?

Take out a piece of paper or notebook and write down all the things that you don’t want in your life. This might sound like a strange question, but we tolerate a lot of things, interferences, and/or distractions in our life that we don’t want. For some reason we allow these things to stay in our lives and they aren’t productive. So write down all the things you don’t want in your life right now.

  1. What are the things that you DO want in your life?

Make another list and go ahead and write these things out. Really think about what’s important and want you want. Be honest and creative.

  1. What’s in the way from what you want?

Most of the time it’s the things you don’t want that are getting in the way of what you do want. You need to get rid of these things.

There’s a coaching exercise that we call The Clarity Solution which helps you understand why and how you do what you do. It can also help you analyze why this is important to you. Because sometimes as owners, we forget the big stuff like this or don’t touch base with it. We can then start to drift one way or another and get off track. So with this process, people get refocused and it brings them back to who they really are and what they truly believe.

I was at a conference a couple of years ago and a gentleman speaking said this: “Love me or hate me; there’s no money in the middle.” A lot of business owners think they have to try to satisfy or help everybody. They are trying to be everything to everybody; that never works. It’s always a recipe for disaster. If someone is struggling with this, we use The Clarity Solution to bring them back into focus and ask them what it is that they really believe; what is it that they’re really doing; and who they’re really serving, both in their customers and employees.

CLARITY QUESTIONS – Ask yourself these questions:

  1. What do you stand for? What do you stand for as a business owner, CEO, solo entrepreneur or whatever you are? What do you really stand for in your business and yourself? What is that? Get clear about it.
  2. What do you believe? So what do you believe about what you do in the marketplace? What do you believe about the value you bring? What do you believe about your team (if you have a team)? What do you believe about your employees, the company, that type of thing?
  3. What is the first priority for you in your business? What is the number one thing? Sometimes we’ve forgotten what that is, so it’s important to touch base with that again.
  4. How do you go about making decisions in your business? Do you actually have a process that you go through to make decisions or are you just doing it randomly with intuition or on the fly? This question has helped a lot of people to develop a process for making great decisions for their business and their companies.
  5. How do you connect with people now? How do you connect with your employees first and then how do you connect with your customers second? Are you doing this in a systematic way? So once again we’ll bring that into focus.
  6. What are some good connection points that you haven’t been taking advantage of that you could with your employees and with your customers?

These are just some checkup points that create value for people. When you think about these things and answer the questions, you can then put things back into your business that you may have forgotten or add new things to give more focus and and clarity about what you believe. This will help you remember what you stand for and figure out who’s important to you. Once you’ve figured these things out and gotten focused again, it’s amazing how the results come back to your business in the way of increased revenue for you and value that you create for your clients.

Thanks for your time today and make it a great day. Reach out to us at confidencecoach.org/contact. We love hearing from you.

Today I wanted to talk to you about how you can use clarity and vision for the future to lead well as a business owner, CEO or entrepreneur. I’d like to give you an effective way to help you lead your team and/or your employees, as you go forward.

When we talk to employees, we have seen that one of the areas where they feel uncertainty or unrest, and they start procrastinating and maybe not performing at their highest level, is when they lack a clarity and a long-term vision from the owner, CEO, or entrepreneur. So if you haven’t talked about or let your employees know your vision in the last six months, one of the things that we’re helping our clients with is how to have what we call a “clarity” talk.

Here’s how to have a clarity talk: Get your group or team together and in about 15 or 20 minutes, give them the long vision of what you’re seeing and what your plans are; what the strategy is; where you’re going; what’s happening in the industry.

They need to hear this from you at least a couple of times a year. When you do this, what you find out is that all the uncertainty about the future and all the negativity that is coming at them (fear via social media, the news or maybe something happening in their own life), this will help dispel that a little bit. They will realize that you’re actually thinking, planning, and strategizing about the long-term future of your company and your business as it goes forward. This helps bring clarity to them; which brings confidence and courage, and then a willingness to invest even deeper into the work that they’re doing in your business.

We suggest that you really focus on this idea of giving a message of clarity that comes directly from you about the business, about their long-term future. Which for a lot of them, they’re looking at the company as their future vehicle to get them where they want to go. But if they don’t hear it from you on a consistent basis, their minds can wander. They can think that another company is a better opportunity because there’s more clarity about where they’re going, what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and who’s doing what.

So that’s our tip for today. Bring clarity and leadership to your company by giving them this clarity/vision talk on a regular basis. Once again, if you found this valuable, let us know. If you’d like to know more about how to put a clarity talk like this on, we could give you the template to do that. Please subscribe to our Youtube channel, share this information, and we’re always available to do a free consultation with you if you’d like to know more about how we’re helping business owners and CEOs today.
