If you are a leader, owner or CEO who believes that a paycheck and benefits is going to get great effort from the majority of your employees — you’re wrong!

You will continue to have high employee disengagement, poor work culture, low collaboration between employees, lack of creativity and energy to serve your paying customers and a lack of your own company’s goals being achieved.

Until you do something radically different from the other business owners beyond a paycheck, benefits and some time off, you are going to keep getting the same results from your “first customers” (your employees) as you are now!

You need to do something different that will start to truly inspire your employees to show up as a better version of themselves everyday!

Here’s the beauty — you already know how to do this for yourself.

Remember when you started your business?

You had a Dream or Goal!

How did that make you feel?

  1. You were Excited!
  2. You had more energy
  3. You solved problems
  4. You worked super hard
  5. You got smarter
  6. You found people who could help you build your business
  7. You made progress towards achieving your goals and dreams

Wouldn’t you like to be the Hero in your employees lives by being the champion of their deepest goals and dreams?

At Confidence Coach we can help you be that Hero!

When you begin to know your employees on a personal level, it helps them to see the connection between their goal or dream and the work that they are doing in your company. It helps create collaboration, as well as makes a connection to their job that helps with retention, motivation and engagement to the company’s vision.Your company culture also changes once they realize that you really care, and show them that their work is a vehicle that can help them achieve some of their own goals and dreams.

It’s clear that every CEO, business owner, entrepreneur or director comes to us with the dream to build something. That’s the mission/energy that drives companies from the kitchen table to be an industry leader. Unfortunately, there’s one thing almost everyone forgets. It’s the reason why employee disengagement is up to 80% and turnover is the highest it’s been in decades. We forget that our companies are made up of people. And we often forget to look at things from their perspective.

Each of the people that work for you has a dream or goal, right? But those hopes and dreams are often seen as liabilities to mitigate instead of assets to leverage. I suggest that you need to see it from the employee’s side:

If I could connect my job in accounting with my dream and goal to buy my first home, how much more commitment and energy would I be putting into my job at your business?

If I knew the company was interested, excited and supportive of my most important dream or goal, it would compel me to care more, work harder and help the company accomplish its goals and dreams with more intention.

We work with business owners and leaders to help them embed a program called The Dream Employee. This program asks each employee the question: What are your dreams, goals and aspirations for your life? And then we deposit encouragement, support, collaboration, and celebrate each employee as they make progress and achieve their goals.

This is just simple human nature:

“Nobody cares until they know that you care about their dreams and goals.” –Scott Ballard

One of the biggest impacts you can make in your company is when you show your employees that you really care about them and what they care about. For example, they have a goal to train and complete a 5K. They take pictures or a video of completing this goal, and you get to celebrate this achievement with them. In celebrating their goal with them, you are depositing good will.

This isn’t just a one-time thing. If you want to truly transform your culture, you need to be continually looking out for opportunities to do this.

When people are in the process of achieving their goals and dreams, that’s where real productivity, energy and creative genius appears.

Reach out and schedule a free consultation if you’d like to learn more about The Dream Employee program. Or, if you’d like a free demonstration for you and your team/employees, let us know that too. We’d be glad to come in and demonstrate and show you the transformation of how this will energize your people for free.

What I’m about to share with you could be the difference maker and advantage that your business needs for 2020!!

We have been talking about The Dream Employee process a lot lately. But in order for you to get an idea of what The Dream Employee might look like in your company and how it could be implemented, I wanted to share a few stories of what employees and owners have experienced through the program.

  • Rachel (employee) was having a rough time at work and at home. She was not very happy with her personal life which overflowed into her work life. We asked her what really made her happy and brought joy to her life; she thought for a while and then responded “art”. Rachel began working on her art in her spare time — taking classes, learning new mediums of art. She then brought her art work in to show us on our monthly meetings. She started smiling more, getting along better with her co-workers, and getting along better with her family members. As she truly began doing things for herself that made her happy, she had more joy in her life. This was an eye-opening and life changing experience for her both personally and professionally.
  • Doug (director of a public organization) said that by making deposits of caring about the dreams and goals of their employees has created goodwill, a greater working relationship between management and employees, and higher retention.
  • Edith’s (employee) first language was Spanish but she had a goal to learn to read, write and speak English so that she could advance in the company. But she knew that in order for her to move up further in the company, she needed to improve her English. When her company became aware of her goal, they wanted to help her achieve it so they gave her time off one morning a week to attend classes at the community college. Learning to read, write and speak English has grown her confidence so much that she felt good enough about herself to share ideas with the owner that would save their company an incredible amount of money in her department by changing the way they did certain things. The company has implemented her suggestions and saved a significant amount of money.
  • Joseph (owner of a family owned business) says he has been using The Dream Employee as a way to show his 60 employees how much he cares for them beyond their benefits and 401k to what matters most in their life.
  • Stacy (a manager) wanted to have a more peaceful and lighter life by continuing to balance work and personal life. Through The Dream Employee program she is steadily focusing on her health, peace of mind, and wellness – all the things that make her happy. She has a goal to daily incorporate more of these things into her life.
  • Joe (regional manager for a Fortune 500 company) said The Dream Employee has created transparency and teamwork within the organization at a level they had never seen before.
  • In working with one company, we discovered that many of them had a goal of losing weight or eating healthier. This was brought to the attention of the owner and he brought in a weight loss consultant who came in once a week for 8 weeks to explain how to prepare food, eat properly, exercise, etc. This bonded everyone that joined in to do this. They encouraged each other and helped keep each other accountable. As a company, they lost 500 pounds last year! They are healthier and more effective in their work as a result.

See why I said this could be the difference maker? If you’d like a free demonstration for you and your team/employees, let us know. We’d be glad to come in and demonstrate and show you the transformation of how this will energize your people for free. No strings attached. We also have many references of very happy Dream Employee clients if you’d like to talk to some of them. Just reach out and schedule a free consultation and we can set up a time for the demonstration.

Today I want to give you a little snippet of advise about the best way to predict the future of your business going forward.

First, you need to ask yourself the question of how much potential growth do you think your current team (your “first” customers or your employees) can make over the next year, three years, and/or five years?

Because how they grow and develop in their skillsets, abilities, collaboration and how fully engaged they are in your company is going to tell you and predict exactly where your business will be three to five years from now.

So sit back and really take a look at your team. Start thinking about your people. Think about what the growth track is for each individual, and then also as a team or group. How can you assist them to become better individuals and also better team players? What can you do to foster more of this? When you see where the growth trend is, then you will know exactly where your business is going to be three to five years from now.

If you need help in figuring out how you can improve your employee engagement and really want to pour into your people on an individual basis, let us know. We have a program called The Dream Employee that vastly improves employee engagement in companies by really touching the lives of the individual.
